Port Sanilac offers something for every water lover. With everything from fishing to sailing to diving Port Sanilac is your summer water wonderland. Port Sanilac has a premier harbor with a variety of dockage and services available.

Diving in Port Sanilac
Port Sanilac is home to the Sanilac Shores Underwater Preserve. This marine museum is home to a number of historical shipwrecks, including the Regina, a 250 foot steel package freighter that sank in the a fierce gale in 1913. Diving charters are available from Port Sanilac Harbor.
Fishing Port Sanilac
Port Sanilac is a popular fishing destination. Perch are widely available, as well as salmon and walleye. The DNR boat launch offers a convenient place to take off from. It also features a public fish cleaning station, complete with stainless steel cleaning stations and a “guts grinder”. Parking is available on-site.
For the little kids and boatless there is always fishing off of the break wall. You can catch perch, cat fish, and there are always a million gobis. Gobis are considered a “junk fish,” but are easy to catch and great fun for little fishers.

Beaches at Port Sanilac
There are two public beaches in Port Sanilac. The Village beach can be found North of the downtown area, tucked in behind the Lutheran Church. This beach features a small public park with picnic facilities.
The second beach is adjacent to the DNR boat launch. Located on the North side of the northern harbor break wall this beach offers a spacious beach and plenty of parking.
Both beaches offer a wonderful place for families to spend the afternoon in the sun and water.
Boating in Harbor
Port Sanilac is home to two marinas and public dockage.
 Port Sanilac Harbor of Refuge is a full service public dockage facility. Offering amenities including: water, electricity (30 and 50 amp), restrooms, showers, gasoline, diesel, pump out, ice, fish cleaning station, boat launch, hoist, long-term parking, public phone, courtesy vehicle, dog run, day-use dockage, playground/park, grills/picnic tables, laundry, car rental, marine repairs, marine supplies and weekend security. The Port Sanilac public docks are a premier destination for boaters on Lake Huron. The Port Sanilac Harbor Commission are gracious hosts to each of the boaters who visit Port Sanilac
Port Sanilac Marina

The Port Sanilac Marina offers a wide variety of transit slips as well as long term dockage contracts. Guests can stay for a day, a wekk, a month, or a whole season. They have some of the same great amenities the Municipal Harbor offers, such as showers, bathrooms, club house, electricity (30 and 50 amp), water, marine repairs, and supplies.
The "Ship's Store" offers Port Sanilac merchandise and Lake Huron memorabilia, as well as a wide variety of boating necessities. Hobie Kayaks and inflatable towing tubes are also available for those who want to splash around on the Lake.
Port Sanilac Marina offers a mix of new and used boats as well as brokering for boat owners who want to sell. Port Sanilac Marina also houses Uri's Waterfront Dining and First Mate's Ice Cream Shop. Be sure to stop by after a great day on the water!
